CWGR is a bi-partisan group of more than 150 professionals who hear from the political players and those who work for them and those who watch them. CWGR was founded in 1978 as an advocate for women working with or for government in the achievements of their professional, personal and economic goals. Currently, membership is open to anyone who has an interest in politics and government. CWGR offers luncheon meetings every other month that are held at the East Bank Club in downtown Chicago. Since the first meeting in 1978, CWGR has brought its members outstanding speakers covering a variety of topics of current interest. Meetings provide members an informal networking opportunity, in addition to programs aimed at educating and developing professional skills that can enhance day-to-day career functions.
CWGR provides opportunities to network with others in related careers. A copy of the annual CWGR Membership Directory is provided to all members.
